Job Opportunities in Chile for Expats

Cat Quijac

Hi. I am from Asia. Been in Chile twice as a tourist. I can speak, read and write in spanish and still with ongoing spanish language proficiency classes. Is there any legit recruitment firms in Chile that I can explore job opportunities based on my skills and profession? Thanks.

Hello Cat Quijac,

Welcome to ´ó¿§¸£ÀûÓ°Ôº 😀

Have you been able to find any information online about recruitment agencies in Chile?

I also recommend creating your CV in the job in Chile section of the forum. This way, if there are any recruiters among the members, they will be able to see your profile and get in touch with you.

All the best,

Cheryl

You don't say what your skills and profession are.  But generally in Chile as in most Latin countries, citizens are favored for jobs over foreigners.  Exceptions are made for jobs that require scarce skills.  In Chile for any company hiring over 25 employees, at least 85% must be Chilean citizens.  So openings can and do exist.

There are tax implications so you would be advised to learn about extra taxes you or the company hiring you may be forced to pay.  See this article for a good explanation:

If you haven't already do a search for

...and you will get lots of hits.  Like everything on the internet, I would advise caution, but at least this could give you a starting point.  Also investigate multi-national companies with a presence in Chile.  Good luck!
