@massimolanfranchi57@ I am in same boat, except mine was a misdemeanor聽 from 26 years ago cuando era joven y estupido. It's EXPUNGED, and yet of course it shows up on the FBI Report 馃槗 Colombia Migration is now enforcing the FBI Criminal Check on Digital Nomad Visa applications as well.

I am sure this wouldn't be happening if not for the g*d*mn dumbf**k drug-seekers, sexpats, and "passport bros" doing illegal, immoral, and unethical things in Medellin. Abusing the situation in our host country, and making us ALL look bad.

Now my 2nd Digital Nomad Visa is gonna be THAT much tougher to get.

It's always those few bad apples that F*CK things up for the ENTIRE barrel 馃槨

Just to hedge my bets, I'm also exploring Paraguay. I've chatted with a couple of people who said they'll "pre-screen" my FBI report with Paraguay Migration to see if it's a deal-breaker or not. If it's not, I'll take the chance and fly to Paraguay and get the temporary residency enseguida. Y'see, Paraguay is not yet overrun by criminal foreigners or irresponsible indiscreet asshats, so maybe they'll be more forgiving on old-ass misdemeanors. Especially since I've been basically a model US citizen since then.
