I started my journey from Calgary, Canada as an overland traveler, lived in a Sprinter camper van for over 5 years and drove over 150,000 km. I travelled intensively North and Central America, then Colombia and Ecuador. I ended up living in Ibarra, Ecuador on a 2 hectares land with my partner Patricia just by the Yahuarcocha lagoon. I am a professional photographer and took a large amount of photos during my travels. After settling down in Ibarra, EC with my partner we established The Garden Project and we are keep on adding features to this place continuously. It started only as a large garden, but now is hosting The Garden Glamping and more development on the way. I switched to take mainly flower macro photos in the past years and I am on the way to establish an indoor photo studio as well for portraiture. While life in Ecuador is quite different from Canada after some adjustment period it's quite enjoyable.

I lived in Ibarra for one year myself. Nice small city with dryer and warmer climate than Quito. Lower altitude helps. You鈥檙e not far from Otavalo either, so the extensive Indian markets are nearby. If you get homesick you can always climb Mount Cotacachi or Imbabura and grab some snow. Don鈥檛 forget to take pictures lol 馃槓
