Hi all,

I'm Imaan, been here just under a year, but not introduced myself yet. Probably won't either with the current difficult and dangerous situation here for foreigners .
Any expats still here in Libya?
Other than this forum, how can I hook up with expats from Europe, can't seem to find any in Tripoli?

Hi,

There are a few western expats left in tripoli; but its mostly short term expats staying at hotels or similar accomodation.聽 I think its rare to find settled expat families in villas or compounds like it used to be before 2011.聽聽

This site used to be full of expats networking etc but unfortunatly things have changed dramaticly in the past few years and i strongly doubt things will be the same in the near or even far future.

@Gulfport is right.
I just happen to see expats when I am traveling in and out of Tripoli, who probably were there for short assignments. But most of the long term ones have moved out.

Is the oil wealth being divided fairly or are their still issues with factions horsing the state resources? What about the migrant situation? And what about the multiple different official governments? Has at least some accord been thought of or agreed upon? Would be good to hear from you, I will add you on Skype after work...

The country is divided but seems on the path of reconciliation the international community must ensure the distribution of income related to oil revenues ...... elections are possible only certain partisan interests cause a delay. Business is picking up again and the price of the currency is still worrying ... Libyans are tired of this situation and the supplier countries of the same ....
