Health insurance at 75?

I used the search function but did not find an answer to my question.

According to my information, health insurance policies in Mauritius are no longer renewed once you are 75 years old. However, since the term is always only 1 year, you will be without health insurance at 75. Is this correct?

@Ceresiet Thank you very much!

I happen to know someone who has taken out exactly this insurance. I understand it like this:

- The life age "from 54" seems to refer only to the age of first acceptance. That means they also insure people who are, for example, already 60 and older. Other insurance companies do not accept such people at all.

- But: This insurance also only runs for one year at a time and then has to be renewed. However, nowhere in the conditions does it say that it must be regularly renewed by MUA (i.e. even if the policyholder is older than 75).
