Sam here Sandra. Does anyone have聽 feedback on their experience with Swan medical Insurance. Received a quote and it looks good compared to my current DHM in SA?

Hello, I鈥檝e not received much feedback from this site but speaking with other people who have both corporate and individual cover Swan may be the best, no issues with settling claims.

I am waiting to get a quote from them and would likely go with them as I also hold my car insurance with them.

Hi Sam

I've gone with Swan and found them to be very efficient in setting up the quotes and paperwork, etc. Thankfully no early claims as yet, so can't say how that would go, but early experiences have been good.
I would also haggle a bit - you can get a bit of a discount if you do! There are plenty of other suppliers - so use them to leverage the best price. We didnt bother with the outpatient policy as the premium-cost to cover ratio just didnt make it worthwhile or make sense.

Stan, if I may ask what did they quote you, cause we considering Swan or Discovery Africa plan but it's only covering hospital and chronic for R4800 for two people, would love to know what Swan cost

so i think it depends massively on lots of factors so not sure you can compare? - so for example age is a massive factor! we are 5 people with 3 kids and sadly i am no longer a spring chicken! it also depends hugely on what level of critical cover you go for?
