Hello, im planning to apply for a premium visa for one year this year.聽 I plan to arrive in Mauritius in octobre/novembre. If i for some reason dont get a premium visa, i read that youre able to stay on a tourist聽 visa for 6 months/calender year. Does that mean that i could arrive in oct/nov, stay the rest of 2025 in Mauritius, then stay a few months in la reunion,聽 where id like to stay for a while. Then come back to Mauritius in 2026 & stay foranother6 months?

Im a little confused about applying for premium visa.聽 I cant buy a private health insurance before i get the visa. Is it enough to show a quote on the insurence i intend to buy? The same with the flight ticket? Ive read that its enough to reserve a return ticket,聽 not necessary pay for it in advance. Is that correct?

@Macmac0065 I know you can buy open-ended medical travel insurance, good for multiple trips of up to 6 months, valid for 12 months, if you're in North America. Perhaps it's different where you are.
