Hello everyone, I am a citizen of Nigeria and I am planning a relocation to Mauritius聽 in January 2021.

Can the good people of this Forum explain to me how to make the move. Presently my country can travel to Mauritius Visa free but what happens when I arrive in Port Louis is what I would like to know.

Are there affordable Bed and Breakfasts in Port Louis.

I would appreciate all information that could help me in my relocation plans.

FWIW:

You CAN'T relocate on a Tourist Visa.
You will need a RESIDENT PERMIT if you want to retire or an Occupation Permit聽 should you decide to work and live on the island.

A little search on the forum will edify聽 you since this topic is very current .

Go to "Discover" at the top of this page and open the Mauritius Guide. Heaps of relevant information there.

I have been checking the top of this page like you said but has not been able to to see "Discover"

Top left hand side at the top of the page next to the 大咖福利影院 logo which is a world globe mounted in a black frame with an arrow around it.

Hello Stumpy, I have seen Discover but the write up there is not explicit enough for someone entirely new to the site and the forum as well.
The site did not give enough information to guide an applicant planning a relocation to Mauritius.

I suggest that you check out the nearest Mauritius Embassy website for information.
Also try a Google search for Mauritius Immigration. Plenty of information there.
