A lot seem to have gone home after covid, but I have no idea about numbers.

If it is a lack of native speakers, a lot of schools will see the same problems.

1) You advertise age discrimination---whilst this may not be illegal in Indonesia, I can imagine it being a red flag for other dodgy things an employer might do and personally would not apply for that reason (also, I'm too old, lol).

I can't say much about the rest, but I understand the 'age discrimination' is a maximum age requirement to apply for a work sponsored  KITAS.

I'm a shade out of date, but I gather the age rule is still in place, at least for new employees.

2) While you go into great detail about what you expect from a prospective teacher, you don't advertise a specific salary range. I would be wondering whether such an employer has something to hide.

The salary will depend on qualifications and experience. We didn't state a definite number because of that, but the salary is competitive.

All legal requirements are met with no exceptions. We are very strict on this.

Good point, didn't think of that. It wouldn't be a bad idea to mention that in the advert, however, just to be clear.

The OP did bring up an interesting point about how many expats went home when covid hit. I wonder if anyone has numbers

I am a professional English Teacher with 16 years experience (S1 in English Teaching), I already sent an email including all the data relevant to my education and background but still got no reply from your school. (the reason maybe because I sent it on 9 August. Still waiting for a reply sir.

In an earlier post, the school said they were strict on official paperwork.

Assuming that's true, getting a visa for you could be difficult as native speakers are supposed to be from one of a very few countries.

@Fred, I am already in Indonesia living on KITAP that is spouse sponsored. They stated there "non-natives are also welcome".

"Requirements:

Preferably a native English speaker (UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand & Canada), but others may be considered based on English language skills, qualifications, and experience."

I suppose you would have to ask them.
