The procedure is the same as marrying any foreigner in Indonesia.

You must be of the same religion
The foreigner must be able to prove they can legally marry (Not already be married)
The foreigner should produce his birth certificate (legalised)
The foreigner should be able to prove he's legally entitled to be in Indonesia.

After that lot, it's all down to where you want to live

As above but one or two things to possibly consider or confirm

- some Middle East countries require a marriage permit for the marriage to be legal in a particular Middle East country regardless of location of marriage or living once married look into this part very carefully
- some countries allow mixed marriage (religion) some it is forbidden but others the man can marry any religion woman it is forbidden, again check this carefully
- some Middle East countries require man and woman to be a certain age/ maximum age difference
- some Middle East countries require written consent from family head, tribe/village head along with government (see my first point)
It will be best to check with the Indonesian side and Oman Embassay if marriage in Indonesia and same if other way
Look at husband/ wife obligations / laws in some Middle East countries some are what I would describe as ancient and many decide to not return to some countries especially mixed marriage as it can be extremely difficult for some

The Indonesian's religion will be on their ID card.
The foreigner is a little different and the religion they marry under makes a difference as to what's what.
If it's a Muslim wedding, easy as the declaration of faith is part of the ceremony.

This is normally done with baptism certificate etc from home country
Keeping in mind it has to be exact same religion Protestant and Protestant or Catholic and catholic
Catholic/ Protestant is not allowed
Some Muslim countries do not allow Sunni/ Shia mixed marriage
If you marry overseas and mixed marriage it鈥檚 legal in Indonesia and the world over if you follow said country laws, hence it鈥檚 messed up and stupid in my opinion
