As independent travellers unfamiliar with the area, you will have to use a taxi and that taxi will take the toll road and you will arrive in Las Terrenas centre about  20 minutes after leaving the airport, 15 max  to Coson.

The alternative is more complicated and starts with a walk from the airport to the main road to Samana, then getting a guagua to the far side of Sanchez at the turn to Las Terrenas and then another guagua over the hills to Las Terrenas. It will take you well over an hour at best.

Bite the bullet and pay the taxi fare which I believe is cerca usd 40 to LT and includes the toll fee which is over 10usd. It is a very scenic drive too.

Cerca is what? Is it the taxi company name.

Cerca is "around" in Spanish.

Be careful with prices. Because the airport is relatively quiet it appears there is no taxi service based there, you may land up having to negotiate with a driver who is there on spec. Reading Trip Advisor it appears they will charge USD80 for one way which seems a lot, so perhaps it is best to try and book in advance online through one of the LT taxi companies or better still the Sindico/Union which is based on Playa Las Ballenas just before Alisei Hotel.

....their website is down at the present

do u suggest to change airport IF i can?

Your only other option is Santo Domingo Las Americas and a taxi from there to Las Terrenas costs maybe c USD200 each way.

OMG so every one doing my trip he pay 200 US?
so maybe better take it from Samaná El Catey International Airport (IATA: AZS,
but the link u sent not working any other idea

Sorry can't help.

The rates from El Catey airport look very high from all the private firms - almost as though there is a cartel. USD80 seems the going rate and that is crazy for a 20 minute drive on the toll road even allowing for an USD11 toll one way....I guess they are charging for both ways to get them to the airport.

Ask your hotel if they can find you a better transfer rate.

I have to confirm what Lennoxnev is stating we were there in July. The rate we had to pay was $200 US and we haggled on that I walked away and they stopped me from leaving.
