Rabbit transport

We will be moving to Punta Cana early September! We want to bring our pet rabbit. Anyone have any idea how to plan this?

Rabbits fall into the "Other Pets" category and USDA doesn't have much info! The links on this site might help you find an answer.

Rabbits are animal like dogs....same procedure you need to take him to the vet...get all the vaccines...and make sure that he does not get lost when he gets there.聽 Another thing(sorry to say this). The rabbit meat is very good and people eat there..

Rabbits are not dogs and may or may not be treated the same.聽 I am asking someone for help who should know.聽 Some animals / pets are not allowed at all!聽 Or, if allowed, once here cannot leave.

Well scheduling that is the easy part. I can鈥檛 seem to find info on what documents and usda or other things will be necessary upon arrival.
