I received my single work permit renewal last week. In February my wife had applied for her residence card renewal (family reunification) on the commune website. After I received the Annex 46 we sent it to the commune and they included it in her application. Right now she has an Annex 15.

I have a few questions:

- The commune has not shared any receipt of the application, file tracking number, etc. Is that normal?

- For my single work permit renewal I was able to log into the ibz website and track my application. Is there something similar for family reunification visa renewal.

- Has anyone recently gone through this process? If yes, how long after your spouse received the Single work permit did you get it?

- When my single work permit application started processing I received a privacy notice. Will my wife receive something similar?

Timeline:

- Family reunification renewal application date: Feb 4

- Single work permit renewal: March 17

Hi,

As far as I know, it is not possible to track your family reunification extension application. It is commune sending the all documents to IBZ, when they hear from IBZ, they will let you know. it is normal that you have not had any receipt or track number. We did not also received anything at a time we applied for my wife.

The processing time mostly starts the day you receive your SP. In our case, it took around 2 months for her to receive her extension. However, that differs for everyone. you may expect it to be longer or shorter, but surely it will take time.

and no, your wife will not receive privacy notice. at least, we did not receive any.

Recently I got my unlimited single permit extension and the file has been added to my wife s family reunification extension application last week. I will let you know when we hear from commune.

Hey man !

I have a quick question. Basically I received an Annex 46 and single permit for employment in Belgium. I am currently in Dubai with my spouse and 1-year-old child. We applied through VFS on March 23 for:

1. Visa D Single Permit (for me)

2. Visa D Family Reunification with Non-EU Temporary Residence Permit Art. 10bis (for spouse and child)

The application was forwarded to the Embassy in Abu Dhabi. We have now received an email stating our application has been forwarded to the Foreigners' Office (FPS Interior) for examination and decision, although on the Annex 46 it clearly mentioned that we were approved and that the Visa can be issued in Abu Dhabi.

Any idea on this process and how long it might take ?

Hi !

as far as I know, all Visa D application are forwarded to IBZ before being granted. Mine was also sent to IBZ despite I was having a single permit. In my case, it took months to receive the visa, but there was an investigation for the applications made from Turkey. It may vary from one consulate to another but I don’t think it will take much in your case to receive your visa as you have completed already the most difficult part (obtaining the Single Permit)

Please can you explain how your single permit approval was added to your wife's family reunification extension application? Did you send an email to Brussels or your stad? Or call them?

I asked my wife to send an email to commune stating that I have received my single permit and it can be added to her application file. She sent also the copy of my SP in that email.

I am not sure if commune has done anything. Our applications in IBZ are in one file and when you obtain your SP, it is seen in your spouse file anyway I think. Just a prediction.
