Maltese passport - UK Deed Polls

I am going through Maltese citizenship by descent currently and once approved, hope to get a Maltese passport.

My citizenship caseworker informed me that my 2 UK Deed Poll name changes will not be recognised in Malta and I will need to get a Maltese Lawyer to have my name recognised by the Court of Revision of Notarial Acts in Malta.  My case worker has sent me the Chamber of Advocates web address to find a lawyer, but I am concerned as I have no idea of typical costs or timescales.

Has anyone been through this already?  I would be grateful for any comments on your experience, advice and any recommendations for a lawyer.

Thank you.

Hello Amanda,

Welcome to ´ó¿§¸£ÀûÓ°Ôº 😀

Have you been able to obtain any further information or clarification regarding the process and the costs involved?

It would be great if you could share any updates.

Cheers,

Thanks for getting in contact, Cheryl.

No, unfortunately,  no-one has responded.  I saw some name change, Solicitor related questions on the forum, but they were from a few years ago.  The chap was suggesting people to message him directly for the solicitor he used. He had found a solicitor who seemed extremely reasonably priced.  I am getting very expensive solicitor quotes unfortunately.

It would be great if I could find someone who has been through the process and recommended who they used.
