Nowadays not very long, when we moved our replacements took about three weeks, not like when they were first issued when it took months.

On the contrary, those 鈥榚-Residence Card鈥� applicants who are aware of the regulations in the first instance are better placed to obtain their 鈥榚-Residence Cards鈥� more swiftly than those who are not.

You can quote your normal rules as many times as you like but not every department over here will take any notice.

When will you actually post from your own experience of Malta and not just copy EU legislation parrot fashion.

You can quote as much as you like and, yes people are entitled to know what the law is, but this forum is meant to be useful and practical.

Cut and paste of EU legislation is pointless in Malta.

Many just want to get things sorted which matter to them, in real terms, and are not looking to start getting involved with legislation against the Maltese establishment.

You really do need to look at giving advice from real life IN MALTA!

You should be aware by now that even though Malta is a full member of the EU it only takes notice of EU Law when it suits them or benefits them financially!
EU Legislation may say that residence documentation should be issued immediately,

' A registration certificate [鈥榚-Residence Card鈥橾 shall be issued immediately鈥︹��..鈥�

but in real and practical terms the eResidence card can't be as it has to be manufactured, so a receipt which acts as temporary documentation is issued immediately.
