Hoping to get married and live in Colombia

Trying to help

I came to Colombia May of 25 to visit and to meet up with a lady I had been chatting with for several months prior.  I spent 8 nights, in beautiful Colombia, with my beautiful lady.  I spent 3 nights in Medellin, 2 nights in Pereira where my lady lives, and 3 nights in Cartagena.  I had a great time and returned just a few weeks ago.

I spent 11 nights, again with my beautiful lady, now my fiance, and her family.  We visited Covenas, as well as Santa Marta, and once again I had an awesome time.

I am hoping to marry her and live in Colombia.  I am a mental health therapist and can work from anywhere, which makes things seem to come together.

My only concern is I have a criminal record from many years ago, 1987, and I'm worried this may prevent all of this from happening.

The cancilleria doesnt ask for police record in thiere  requisitos  for a Conyuge visa.

But they could ask for it anyway , after you apply  but unlikely,as they know it is a big deal getting an FBi police report and getting it apostilled.

But you never know.

They are getting strict with marraige visas lately. Only being with someone 21days might not cut it. Better keep all photos  corresponce airline tickets etc.

Why someone would take the risk  to.marry someone they have been withh for such a short time  whether its "love at first site"orj ust to get a visa is beyond  me, but to each his own.
