I just got notification email from the embassy that our documents were forwarded to Belgium to the immigrations office for examination and decision (email d.d. Oktober 5)

Our application is still not online on the dofi website.

Yes info 1 and info 2 are filled.

extra info1:    Indien een dossier nog in behandeling is of indien het dossier nog niet behandeld is omdat gewacht wordt op de verzending per diplomatieke valies van de documenten die de visumaanvraag ondersteunen, verschijnt als datum, de datum waarop de visumaanvraag geregistreerd werd door de Dienst Vreemdelingenzaken.

extra info2:    In principe wordt de beslissing verzonden op de dag dat ze getroffen wordt. Het kan echter soms enkele dagen duren voordat de diplomatieke of consulaire post de beslissing effectief ontvangt.

I don't know exactly what this means but I think this is just a standard text.

Hi all, My wife also received the update about the request for additional documents. So, this morning we received an email from VFS and the requested documents are

• Town hall registered address (basically Model 2 and Annex 49, already submitted before)
• Health insurance or travel insurance (submitted health insurance before)
• MyRent registry (that was not requested during the family reunion application but already submitted the contract)

Is it something common to re-ask for the submitted documents?

Hi Everyone,

I just submitted my application throught the embassy at Friday, 10 Nov 2023.

Got email on 14 Nov 2023 that my application has been forwarded to FPS Interior. I read that this process could take 3-5 weeks until my application shows up in Dofi.

I dont understand why the process could take more than 3 months but I guess it is what it is.

So now I just want to share my timeline/experience in this forum so I can release some of the anxiety caused by this waiting game.
