My husband status has changed also for the need of extra documents. can anyone who is in this situation explain the process? how they reach tou via email or phone? how many days have passed after the submission of documents ?聽 thanks in advance

Hello my husband applied on May 10 and his visa status changed to " in behandeling" in June 20. Since then he is also waiting. If you are lucky than in 3 months if not than you have to wait just like him. And i am a non-eu. Thanks.

@dambada聽 Hello, the immigration office also requested additional documents for my wife and they requested the necessary documents through VFS (e-mail). There are some ridiculous situations at this point...

-We had already delivered 90% of these documents (myrent was missing, but this was not requested by VFS)

-We have family insurance here in Belgium but still asked for travel insurance

-Although all the documents are available as PDFs, they do not want us to send them by e-mail or upload them to a portal. My wife changed city just to deliver 3-4 pages of documents, and additional expenses were incurred.

You have to deliver the additional documents in 3 weeks. We delivered 2 days ago, almost a week after receiving the e-mail.

Please check with the owner of your apartment, they should upload the rental agreement on myrent ([link under review]) and you should also open an account. So that you will receive an official/registered copy of your agreement. I believe the immigration office will be able to see your rental agreement officially once it is uploaded on that portal, as a way to avoid any fraud or misinformation.

my landlord registered rental contract and sent me offical myrent document. So immigration office can able to see the document even if we dont present it?聽 thank you by the way all the info

21th june 23 submitted of visa

20th july 23 register in website

12th October 23 Awaiting receipt of documents supporting the visa application sent by the Belgian.

22 November 23 Visa Approved.

FYI: I was not asked for additional documents.

Dear all, here is my update on my wife's family reunification application on 30/05.聽 After the 13/11 decision regarding the additional documents, the 15/11 e-mail from VFS, and the 22/11 submission of the additional documents, we received an email from VFS on 24/11 stating that we could collect the passport. That's to say, our passport with the visa was already in the country when we submitted the additional documents. Yet nobody told us about it, my wife had to travel between two cities twice on close dates. Later, Finally, she has the visa

Second, if that is a common practice, the process in the consulate was 4-5 months long in a shocking way and the immigration office was only a month!!! Besides the immigration office, the operation in the consulate and VFS felt unprofessional and the communication skills of the staff were poor.

@dhpsrn31 You can open the account after you have the F card. You will use a card reader and a mobile app during this process.

Hello good day everybody, please I have been living in antwerp since August ending and I register as a new commer with my family 馃應 and the police have checked and I was given till juanary ending 2024 for the collection of orange card before I can start working.聽 I don't understand why it will take 6 months before I can start working and I have a wife and sons to take care of. Please I聽 want to know if it is normal after police check to have an appointment of 2 months for the collection of an orange card.

Can i ask anyone who got their visa exceptionally fast, i do see 6 month as common average but is there anyone who got it early, Also to point out 6 month itself violates medical and criminal certificates as they are not considered if they are 6 month and older so it is weird to see them mentioning 9 months on sites and processing these visa so late, Within belgium it will be a big issue on social welfare and taxation if looked in properly
